SCHOOLS OUT FOR THE SUMMER!

Hello to all zero of you,

Just kidding but not really :) If you are reading this, thank you!

Today, I am officially done with classes for the semester and couldn't be more happy.  This was definitely the toughest school year thus far.  From spring semester, to winter session, to this recent spring semester.  It was as a whole completely stressful but I did it :) 

I can finally clean my disaster of my room and do everything I've been putting off due to all my schoolwork.  This includes BLOGGING MORE. I'm so excited.

Although, I am in the process of trying to find a job, I always find myself having way too much times on my hands so at least I can direct my boredom somewhere yannoe?!

Still trying to scheme up different ideas for YouTube videos as well.  I think I'm a little more concerned about what camera I would use to film them.  I could always use my webcam, right? EL OH EL started from the bottom, now we here!

My First Youtube Video

I finally got the courage to film and post my first youtube video.  In the past, I've uploaded little videos here and there with friends or school related things but yesterday, I actually went out and filmed a video.  With the help of one my friends (Thank You, Layheab) I was able to get some shots of my outfit with a sweet view!  

I heard about this place called "Castle Rock" not too far from where I live so I thought this was a perfect opportunity to check it out while getting some filming done.

Although, the video didn't quite turn out what I expected, it's a start.  Hopefully, in time I'l be more comfortable in front of the camera.  This video was a bit awkward but I hope no one will mind too, too much.  

I already have FIVE VIEWS hahaha. Not much by anyone's means but I'm excited.  I knew it was going to be challenging but it's so much more fun than I expected.  I'm hooked.  I just hope I will be able to film and post more soon :)

Goodbye 2013, Hello 2014!

Oh, another year has passed and I still don't feel like I've accomplished anything. Let's just say, I don't think 2013 was my best year.  That being said, it definitely wasn't my worst either.  2013, for me was a year of self reflection and I hope to continue this in 2014.  With that being said, here are some of my New Year's Resolutions:

1. Panic Less:  I panic and stress out about everything and so I will try my hardest to "not sweat the small stuff" per say.  I need to learn how to not start panicking until the problem actually arises and even when it does, stay calm.

2. Blog More: I've definitely neglected this blog since I've signed up due to school but I want to at least write a blog post, once a week! fingers crossed*

3. Exercise: I feel like this will always be on my list of New Year's Resolutions but I fail every year.  What's different about this year is that I want to do this to be for me, 100%.  I don't want to lose the weight to get boys to notice me, or for my parents to get off my back, or because all my friends are tiny.  I want to do this because I want to feel better and have the self confidence to rock that top I've always wanted and if it gets a stare from a cute boy, woohoo icing on the cake. 

4. Be a better me: I will never be perfect and I will never strive to be that.  There are things about myself that I believe need to worked on and I'm prepared to work on them.

5. Drive on the Highway!: I need to face my fear because it's eating me alive. The end. I hate driving but I need to get over it!

6. YOUTUBE: I've made an account years ago and always wanted to film a video, edit it, and post it up on youtube.  I think, I'm finally finding the guts for it and I can't wait to see where that takes me :)

These are my New Year's Resolutions so far! 

OH YEAH, I ALSO WANT TO SAVE UP TO TRAVEL AFTER COLLEGE (2 YEARS) lol

Presents From The Motherland

My parents went on vacation to Cambodia in August for 3 weeks and my mommy brought back some Khmer sarongs back for me :) They're literally one of my favorite things to wear lounging around the house or to bed in general.  I'd thought for a quick post during the school week, I'll show you them :)

Bird's Nest?

I don't know about you girls but my hair gets incredibly tangly.  The kind of tangly where it looks like a bird has made residence in the back of your head.  Haha talk about "the back of your head is ridiculous" (if you've been living under a rock and don't know what I mean PLEASE WATCH Mad TV Can I Have Your Number you won't be sorry!)

If you're much of a youtube fanatic as much as I am you might be familiar with Zoe or Zoella and Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter.  They're two of my absolute faves with incredible hair that I wish I could imitate.  I did get ombre inspired from Zoe but I don't think it looks as good as her's :'( AND how I wish I could go platinum blonde with hot pink tips. LIKE CMON ugh so AWESOME.

Sorry for my rambling..

Anywhooo, in one of Zoe's video she mentioned the "Tangle Teezer" and how easily it combed through her hair.  Zoe has ridiculously long hair so you know it had to work good.  

Ever since, I've been on the search for a Tangle Teezer. I don't completely know where exactly they are available for purchase but at Target they had something very similar.  I didn't realize it wasn't a Tangle Teezer until I brought it home.  

Instead of being called the "Tangle Teezer" I purchased the "Tangle Fix" by Goody.

I can't necessarily compare the two but if the Tangle Fix is this good, I can't even imagine how amazing the Tangle Teezer is.

I will put it out there that I do use either a de-tangling spray or a deep conditioner prior to combing/brushing out my hair with the Tangle Fix.  With that being said, the spray with the Tangle Fix works like magic to get all the kinks and knots out.

Personally, I love the shape of these.  It's so easy just to put in your day or school bag.  There's no handle that may break because trust me that is a possibility.  Have you not seen the Princess Diaries? 

But yes, I have nothing but good things to say about this product.  If you have any question, please ask and I'll try my best to answer them.

Everyone Loves A Bargain

I've been meaning to write this blog post for about two weeks now but better late than never!

I went on a late night run to Target with my friend, Layheab on a hunt for purple shampoo for her newly ombred hair.  Unfortunately, we couldn't find any purple shampoo for her.  However, we decided to check out the shoe department noticing a lot of pairs of shoes were becoming on sale due to the change in seasons.  LET ME JUST TELL YOU, SCORE!

At first, I found these in a size 9.5 and I was a little bit worried they might be too big but they were fine and I was so incredibly happy.  I've been on a hunt for strappy brown and black wedges for ages.  Then, I spotted a size 9 and tried them on.  Who knew half a size could make all of a difference.  They fit like a glove and I was ecstatic.  I even convinced Layheab to get the same pair herself.  Who would pass these up anyways? THEY WERE MARKED DOWN FROM $29.99 TO A MEASLY $8.98.  I felt like I was stealing!

I cannot wait until I can wear these bad boys for a night out (probably shopping at the mall but shhh)

I got these wedges at Target but you can find this style of wedge practically anywhere.  From, Aldo to Nordstrom to anything in between.  I'm sure you can find a pair that will suit your needs :)
