Presents From The Motherland

My parents went on vacation to Cambodia in August for 3 weeks and my mommy brought back some Khmer sarongs back for me :) They're literally one of my favorite things to wear lounging around the house or to bed in general.  I'd thought for a quick post during the school week, I'll show you them :)

Bird's Nest?

I don't know about you girls but my hair gets incredibly tangly.  The kind of tangly where it looks like a bird has made residence in the back of your head.  Haha talk about "the back of your head is ridiculous" (if you've been living under a rock and don't know what I mean PLEASE WATCH Mad TV Can I Have Your Number you won't be sorry!)

If you're much of a youtube fanatic as much as I am you might be familiar with Zoe or Zoella and Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter.  They're two of my absolute faves with incredible hair that I wish I could imitate.  I did get ombre inspired from Zoe but I don't think it looks as good as her's :'( AND how I wish I could go platinum blonde with hot pink tips. LIKE CMON ugh so AWESOME.

Sorry for my rambling..

Anywhooo, in one of Zoe's video she mentioned the "Tangle Teezer" and how easily it combed through her hair.  Zoe has ridiculously long hair so you know it had to work good.  

Ever since, I've been on the search for a Tangle Teezer. I don't completely know where exactly they are available for purchase but at Target they had something very similar.  I didn't realize it wasn't a Tangle Teezer until I brought it home.  

Instead of being called the "Tangle Teezer" I purchased the "Tangle Fix" by Goody.

I can't necessarily compare the two but if the Tangle Fix is this good, I can't even imagine how amazing the Tangle Teezer is.

I will put it out there that I do use either a de-tangling spray or a deep conditioner prior to combing/brushing out my hair with the Tangle Fix.  With that being said, the spray with the Tangle Fix works like magic to get all the kinks and knots out.

Personally, I love the shape of these.  It's so easy just to put in your day or school bag.  There's no handle that may break because trust me that is a possibility.  Have you not seen the Princess Diaries? 

But yes, I have nothing but good things to say about this product.  If you have any question, please ask and I'll try my best to answer them.

Everyone Loves A Bargain

I've been meaning to write this blog post for about two weeks now but better late than never!

I went on a late night run to Target with my friend, Layheab on a hunt for purple shampoo for her newly ombred hair.  Unfortunately, we couldn't find any purple shampoo for her.  However, we decided to check out the shoe department noticing a lot of pairs of shoes were becoming on sale due to the change in seasons.  LET ME JUST TELL YOU, SCORE!

At first, I found these in a size 9.5 and I was a little bit worried they might be too big but they were fine and I was so incredibly happy.  I've been on a hunt for strappy brown and black wedges for ages.  Then, I spotted a size 9 and tried them on.  Who knew half a size could make all of a difference.  They fit like a glove and I was ecstatic.  I even convinced Layheab to get the same pair herself.  Who would pass these up anyways? THEY WERE MARKED DOWN FROM $29.99 TO A MEASLY $8.98.  I felt like I was stealing!

I cannot wait until I can wear these bad boys for a night out (probably shopping at the mall but shhh)

I got these wedges at Target but you can find this style of wedge practically anywhere.  From, Aldo to Nordstrom to anything in between.  I'm sure you can find a pair that will suit your needs :)

I not only made this blog to share my opinions on different makeup products, fashion, and all that good stuff "beauty" entails but I also want this to be like a look into my diary as I look back.  Therefore, I will tell you about my life which includes the very special people in them.

Mary being one of them.  She is a petite with medium length dark brown hair and bangs that sweep across her round face.  She is kind and sympathetic.  She is funny and stylish.  She is my best friend and cousin.  

There isn't enough time nor words that I could say to express how much I love her and cherish her.

Sorry for a lack of a better word but living so far SUCKS.  I swear our millionaire dollar idea is to make a teleport machine.  (that is definitely worth more than a few million dollars) However, I highly doubt we'd be capable of making a teleport machine.  I mean...the girl thought Philadelphia was the halfway mark between MN and MA hahaha and I can't even doing simple multiplication in my head.

Mary's my rock.  She's there when people who live five minutes away aren't.  YOU BEST BELIEVE SHE'S GOING TO BE MY MAID OF HONOR. 

Okay, okay this is a mushy post about my love for my cousin haha but I think she deserves her own post.  I doubt she'll ever read this but if you do, cousin <3 love ya to da moon and back :)

Kate Rimmel Lipsticks

I've never been much of a lip girl.  Choosing lip colors were always a daunting task for me.  Plus, I would be lying if I said I didn't care about what others would think if I just walked into class with a red lip.  However, many of my favorite beauty gurus were raving about so many new lip products and so I thought if there was a good time to play with lips it would be now.  

I'm a huge sucker for packaging.  The cuter the packaging, the more I just haveeee to have it.  When, I saw the Kate Rimmel's lipsticks I just couldn't resist.  It's just something about their sleek black and red packaging that caught my eye.  As much as I wanted to buy all the lipsticks I decided to try Kate Rimmel's 107.

I absolutely loveeeed it but stupidly one day I brought it along with me in my bag and it was a little too hot out and it melted :( ugh 

BUTTT TODAY I decided to grab it again and I"m so happy I did :)

Yesterday, I took a naughty little trip to Target and got three more lipsticks from Kate Rimmel.

Oh, I should mention that these lipsticks are so creamy and pigmented.  You can gently pat for a more natural "stained" look or you can apply it normally and get a bolder look.  

I got my Kate Rimmel Lipsticks at Walgreens and Target.  Walgreens has these priced at $5.99 and Target at $4.99 but prices may vary.  For instance, I got my latest three on sale just $3.99 each.

Hello Everyone,

I thought it was about time to finally tell you a little about myself.  Just as a fair warning, this may or may not be boring.  I don't find myself that interesting whatsoever but I'll try to find some interesting facts and stories that'll hopefully make you laugh :) 

I was born on June 24, 1994 which makes me 19 years old.

I currently just ate some Special K Cereal ( I felt need the need to share that because I have been eating not stop all day..no bueno)

I have this weird fear of birds.  Especially, pidgins.  I avoid them at all costs.

Like many other people, I absolutely HATE bugs. Doesn't matter if they're slimy, hard, soft, squeeshy...omg if they can fly. DONE. just let me die.

I'm 5'3'' with size 9 feet.

I don't have many friends.  Like at all.

I've waited a dog forever but I doubt I'll get one living with my parents.  Now, I want two dogs.

I've pulled out most of my baby teeth by myself give or take about two.

I LOVE POTATOES. Mashed, baked, fried..you name it.

As much as I'd love to lay out on the beach.. I tan really easily but that isn't my problem.  My problem is that my tan doesn't fade for months so I try and avoid the sun as much as possible.  Sunblock helps though ;)

Youtube is my life.  I'm on it literally 24/7.

My favorite colors are pink, purple and blue.

I have a pillow pet and it's name is Geoffery.

I can throw a pretty good spiral and I'm quite proud of that.

I cannot for the life of me take in material or information that is read out loud from a piece of paper or book.  It goes in one ear and out the other.  I much rather just read it myself.

You know how I said Youtube is my life..well, now that I think of it social media in general is my life.  A bit embarrassing but oh well.

I reallllllllly wish I could sing.  My inability to sound like Beyonce doesn't stop me from singing all the time, however.

Beauty and hair are both really fun for me.

I'm definitely a bag girl.  When, I'm older with a good paying job I will definitely save up for a nice, NICE bag.  Superficial, perhaps?!

One of my fears is looking like a boy because my older brother and I basically have the same face (if he wants to admit it or not) and so I wish I had the guts to cut my hair short.  Plus, my face is round enough so imagine me with a "bob" haircut.

I'm not entirely sure if these were interesting but it's midnight and I'm quite tired so until next time...

Introduction To My Blog

Why Hello,

I just as may be speaking to myself as I write this blogpost but I'd like to think someone out there is reading this.  This post is just a little introduction to my blog.  To be completely and 100% honest with you, I have no idea what the goal of this blog is for but I think I like it this way.

Technically, my tumblr was and is my first blog.  I still use it regularly 'til this day.  As of right now, I have 177 followers which I'm quite proud of :).  It's definitely not as much as others but I've worked hard on my tumblr haha follow me at victoriahasnosecretsx3.tumblr.com if you'd like. I would definitely appreciate it and I may even let out a little squeal if you follow.

However, as much as I absolutely love tumblr, it definitely isn't a place to vent or even rave about something or someone anymore just for the fact that so many of my high school classmates are on there.   I adore them all but I will admit it's a bit embarrassing at how much I fangirl.

IF FANGIRLING WAS A JOB, I WOULD BE EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH. EVERY. MONTH.

But it's time to stop rambling...

Like I said before, I really don't know the sole purpose of this blog but hopefully, anyone reading this finds some kind of enjoyment out of it. So far I'm loving it! This is great haha

I'm quite into beauty.  I follow several beauty gurus on Youtube. I'm absolutely in love with Zoella, Sprinkle of Glitter, Tanya Burr and MakeUpByTiffanyD just to name a few but I started out watching XTeeener, ItsJudytime, AllThatGlitters21 and JuicyStar07 like many others.  Hopefully, I can review some of my favorite beauty products or just talk beauty.

I'd also like to show you bits and pieces of my life. From my friends to school.
